Directionality and Tails

Thanks for your message. Thanks also for your good question about directionality and tails. You're absolutely right; there IS a connection!!!

If the alternative hypothesis is set up to be NONDIRECTIONAL, then the test being conducted becomes TWO-TAILED. On the other hand, if the alternative hypothesis is set up to be DIRECTIONAL, then the test being conducted becomes ONE-TAILED.
