Corrections (Ch. 16)

Before my book was published, I was given a chance to examine page proofs in order to catch and correct mistakes. Although I was very serious about this task and tried to make my book completely free of errors, a few mistakes may have slipped through the screening process and ended up in print.

CORRECTION #1:

Location: Excerpt 16.11 on Page 419

Needed change: The second equal sign in the regression formula should be a plus sign

Note: This needed correction was first identified by Ping-Lun Tu who currently resides in Taiwan. Dan Stone, a professor at the University of Kentucky, also caught this mistake.

CORRECTION #2:

Location: Excerpt 16.21 on Page 426

Needed change: In the final step, the additional explained variance should be 5% (if we focus on R²) or 3% (if we focus on adjusted R²)
