Funny Stuff (Chapter 3)

A student, needing some learning, goes to the pharmacy and asks what kind of knowledge pills are available. The pharmacist says "Here's a pill for English Literature." The student pays for the pill, swallows it, and immediately can quote Shakespeare! "What else do you have?" asks the student. "Well, I have pills for Art History, Biology, and World History." replies the pharmacist. The student buys these pills, swallows them, and instantaneously has new knowledge about each of those subjects.

At that point, the student asks, "Do you have a pill for Statistics?" The pharmacist says "Wait just a moment" and goes to the storeroom and brings back a whopper of a pill and plunks it down on the counter. The student looks at the monster pill and then exclaims: "I'll undoubtedly choke if I try to ingest that gigantic pill!"

The pharmacist understandingly nods and then replies, "Well, didn't anyone tip you off that statistics is hard to swallow."

The average human being has one testicle and ovulates once every two months.

These 2 jokes were not newly written by me. Instead, they were plucked from depositories of statistical humor, edited slightly, and posted here to in an effort to show that there's a lighter side to this supposedly dry discipline.
