Funny Stuff (Chapter 18)

A researcher asked an experienced statistician what procedure should be used to obtain the correlation between two normally distributed variables that were artificially dichotomized. Suddely, the researcher rushed from the statistician's office and ran straight to the pharmacy to buy a bottle of carbon tetrachloride cleaning fluid? Why did he do this? Well, the statistician had told him a TETRACHORIC SOLUTION was appropriate for his correlational problem!!!

This joke was not newly written by me.
