Practical and Statistical Significance in Two-Way ANOVAs

In your reading of the research literature, you are likely to encounter many studies in which a two-way ANOVA functions as the primary data analytic tool. Unfortunately, many of the researchers who use this tool formally address only the concept of statistical significance, with the notion of practical significance automatically (and incorrectly) superimposed on each and every result that turns out to be statistically significant. Consequently, you must remail vigilant for instances of this unjustified and dangerous interpretation of results.
